Texas Department of Public Safety Project

Training and testing Texas DPS officers is of ongoing importance in providing the maximum preparation for the challenges and daily skills required of DPS staff.
Florence, Texas is the site for the new Texas Department of Public Safety Training Facility which will have ample space and facilities for simulating real world conditions the officers must be trained to handle.
Requiring the finest partners for this project, Lauren Concrete has been selected and is providing the ready mix for this construction project.
This aerial picture provides insight into the immense scale of this project. Lauren Concrete is pleased to contribute to DPS safety training in Texas.
Texas A&M Medical School Project

Lauren Concrete trucks are rolling as construction is now underway for the new Texas A&M medical school project. This aerial photograph was taken on February 20th, 2009 and displays the progress as the project continues.
The medical school will provide state of the art educational facilities for future medical students and Lauren Concrete is proud to be affiliated in this worthwhile project.

McDonald’s Selects Lauren Concrete

As one of the most successful franchises in history, McDonald’s has a
time tested formula for success. Part of their formula includes choosing the best ready mix supplier for the construction of a new restaurant.
As covered previously in this blog, McDonald’s selected Lauren Concrete as the ready mix supplier for the new Dripping Springs, Tx restaurant. The pour occurred during the week of Thanksgiving and was highlighted in another story on this blog.
Here’s a recent picture of the finished product. All work has been completed and the new location is open for business.

Project Update: 3rd and Bowie, Austin TX

If you’ve been downtown or visited the Whole Foods store recently you’ve quite possibly noticed that a new high rise at 3rd and Bowie has achieved an impressive profile in the downtown Austin skyline. Depending on the hour of the day, you might have also noticed the Lauren Concrete trucks systematically arriving.
The project is right on track as the building continues to grow. Once again, Lauren Concrete was selected as the #1 Central Texas choice to supply the ready mix for this Hensel-Phelps project.
This project will provide some of the most luxurious and conveniently located housing in the downtown Austin area. Early stages of the construction project are documented in the Lauren Concrete video, Partners in Progress. In the video, Team Lauren is on the job coordinating flow and timetables and ensuring that exacting specifications are achieved.
As far as luxury housing goes, many of the units will offer their tenants a special value add – a spectacular view of Town Lake. All of the tenants will benefits from parking in the attached garage and will undoubtably love being within walking distance of Whole Foods.
A tremendous project and a well-deserved shout out to the members of Team Lauren!
